By installing, launching, or using Resona ("the Software"), you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
The Software is licensed (not sold) to you for personal or commercial use on macOS devices you own or control. The bundled WhisperKit model and the included open-source components are governed by their own licenses, listed in the in-app Settings → About → Open-source licenses panel.
Resona runs entirely on your Mac. The Software:
The developer does not have access to your meetings, your transcripts, or any usage data. Resona is not a Software-as-a-Service product; it does not connect to a backend in its default configuration.
Optional integrations you may configure (e.g. connecting an MCP-aware LLM such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Zed) operate under your direct control — their data flows are governed by those vendors' own privacy policies, not by Resona.
Resona records both your microphone input (your voice) and your Mac's system audio, which includes the voices of other participants in meeting apps such as Zoom, Google Meet, Telegram, FaceTime, etc.
You — the user — are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required from other participants under the laws of your jurisdiction. This includes (but is not limited to):
The developer of Resona is not liable for recordings made without the consent required by applicable law. You are the controller of any personal data you record using the Software.
The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The developer makes no warranty regarding the accuracy of transcripts. The Software uses a probabilistic speech recognition model; transcripts may contain errors, omissions, mis-attributions, or hallucinations. Do not rely on Resona output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with the Software, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Software ships a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that exposes your local transcript database to MCP-compatible clients you configure. When you connect such a client, transcript data is read by that client and may be transmitted to the client's vendor under that vendor's terms. You are responsible for understanding and accepting the privacy and data-handling policies of any MCP client you connect.
Resona uses third-party names ("Whisper", "OpenAI", "Claude", "Anthropic", "Model Context Protocol", "Apple", "macOS", "Apple Neural Engine", "App Store", "M1"/"M2"/"M3"/"M4") descriptively. Resona is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these trademark holders.
The developer may revise these terms by updating this page and shipping the new version with subsequent releases of the Software. Continued use of the Software after such update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence (Russian Federation). Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own jurisdiction.
