title: "Resona for journalists and podcasters — the exact quote with a timestamp"
description: "The exact quote with a timestamp, not a paraphrase from memory. The “Interview” prompt pulls out the best quotes, the argument and a headline."

# It was said. Here is where and when.

A quote from memory is a risk. Resona records the interview on your Mac, and search finds the line you need word for word, with its timestamp. The audio never leaves your Mac, and text leaves only if you ask for copilot or notes yourself.

Resona runs on a Mac. Below you can send yourself the link, or, on Windows, leave your e-mail.

## Where it pays off.

### Quotes with timestamps

Every line with the second it was said. Finding the place in the recording you need to check is one click.

### Quotes, the argument, a headline

The “Interview” prompt does the work-up in a minute: the best quotes word for word, the argument and a headline. A voice-recorder file is transcribed right on your Mac (Pro).

### The source stays with you

No cloud service has heard this recording. That is a promise you can honestly make to your source.

## Three steps, nothing to set up.

### Press Record

Resona hears you and the other side, in any call app, and writes the conversation down as it happens. Or transcribe a recording you already have.

### The recording stays on your Mac

Speech recognition is built into the app and works offline. Text leaves only when you ask for notes or copilot yourself, through the Resona server to the AI model; the Resona server does not store the text.

### Ask

One box searches every meeting at once and answers with quotes. Or copy a meeting with a ready prompt into any AI.

**Free: 5 meetings a month**, with questions, search, prompts and export unlimited. [Pro](https://resona-app.ru/en/#pricing): unlimited meetings, file transcription, meetings filed into your notes by themselves, calendar: 999 ₽ a month or 6990 ₽ a year.

## Try it on your next call.

Installing takes a minute: open the file and drag Resona to Applications. The speech model is already inside.
